Weighted average number of shares

The weighted average shares module is used to calculate the weighted average number of shares (WANOS), for use in the Earnings per share note.

 

 

Adding a new class

An unlimited number of classes may be added to the module.

 

To add a new class:

  • Click Modules > WANOS
  • Click New
  • Type a class name
  • Click OK

 

 

Renaming a class

To rename a class:

  • Click Modules > WANOS
  • Click the class name in the class list
  • Click to Edit table
  • Edit the class name

 

 

Deleting a class

To delete a class:

  • Click Modules > WANOS
  • Click the delete icon next to the class name
  • Follow the on-screen prompts
  • Click OK
  • One default class will always remain and the delete icon will be disabled

 

 

Entering data for a class

To enter data for a class:

  • Click Modules > WANOS
  • Click on any class name to open the class
  • Click the table to edit
  • Enter the dates and number of shares issued
  • Click Save
  • After the table is saved the 'Total', 'Days' and 'WANOS' columns will be automatically calculated

 

 

Returning to the class list

To return to the class list:

  • Click Modules > WANOS

 

 

Exporting all classes to Excel

To export all classes to Excel:

  • Click Modules > WANOS
  • Click Export
