Questions Answers

What software is required?

To use the software, you will require:

  • Web browser (Google Chrome is recommended).

Microsoft ended all support for Internet Explorer in August 2021 and therefore Internet Explorer is no longer a supported browser in Accurri.

To open the outputs produced by the software you will require:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • PDF Reader (recommended: Adobe Acrobat Standard or similar PDF Writer)

What technology does Accurri use?

Accurri is web-based software. It is developed in the ASP.Net Framework, uses the MS SQL database and is hosted by Amazon Web Services. You log in at your nominated region:

Can I have my own local installation?

Accurri is only available as a ‘cloud based’ software. Given its technicalities, regular updates, need for a specific environment and speed requirements, you cannot have your own local installation.

What security is provided?

In summary, security is two-fold:

  • Web browser: input and interaction via the web browser is secured through Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) with a G2 rating (which is very high, for instance the same rating as internet banking). Accurri has a 256-bit encryption of data passing between your computer and the server.
  • Storage of data: your data is stored within a data warehouse at Amazon Web Services who provide, in their words, 'World-Class Protection' and an overview can be found here: https://aws.amazon.com/security/

We recommend a strong password, using a combination of mixed case letters, numbers and symbols, to avoid any unauthorised access to your account. Further account protection is available in the form of two-factor authentication.

What implementation is required?

As Accurri is web based, there is no implementation to install the software. Upon receipt of the order (usually via accurri.com but you can also arrange purchasing the software by emailing enquiries@accurri.com), the named user(s) will receive emails containing log in credentials and information to get you started.

Refer to FAQ for information on training and report setup.

Does our IT department need to provide specific access to the software?

Depending on the policies within your organisation, you may need to ask your IT team to grant specific access to Accurri to ensure that requests to, or responses from, Accurri are not blocked. The most common method of granting access is via whitelisting the appropriate Accurri domain (https://au.accurri.com, https://sg.accurri.com or https://uk.accurri.com).

Can I take a back-up of my work?

We encourage all users to save copies of their outputs in their own environment.

We recommend creating ‘milestone’ versions of work in progress as this provides a quick and easy method of reverting to an earlier point.

Copies of reports in progress can be made using 'Duplicate report' in the Reports list screen. Lock the prior draft once the report has been duplicated,

How often is Accurri backed up?

The Accurri databases are backed up every day at the following times:

While the Accurri databases are backed-up every day, this is a system-wide back-up (for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery purposes) and is not intended to restore individual reports.

Accurri provides a range of features to minimise the risk of accidental user-initiated data loss. These features include milestone versions, making it quick and easy to generate outputs that can be stored in the user's environment, user rights, report locks and undelete reports.

What happens to my data if the subscription is not renewed?

Before your licence expires, you should ensure you have a copy of all outputs, including the following:

  • Annual Report in Word
  • Audit Trail - Comprehensive
  • Trial Balances
  • List of Divisions

As you need the Accurri software to run the Accurri database, you will not be provided a copy of the Accurri database. All outputs provide you with the data you have entered.

Your data will be stored for 6 months to allow for unintentional lapses of subscriptions. After 6 months, all data will be deleted without a backup available.

For non-renewal, you can delete your data by deleting all your reports before the expiry of your subscription, should you wish for your data to be deleted sooner.

What should I do if pages are not displaying correctly?

Accurri servers are constantly monitored so issues can be resolved quickly. In certain cases, Accurri Support may be unable to reproduce the issue.

If pages are not displaying correctly and Accurri Support is unable to reproduce the issue, we suggest checking your browser first. We recommend trying one of the following options to force the browser to display the page correctly:

  • Log in to Accurri as normal
  • Hold down SHIFT and F5 to refresh the page

Alternatively, we suggest the following for Google Chrome users:

  • Open Google Chrome
  • Click the settings menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen (the 3 dots icon)
  • Click New incognito window
  • In the incognito window, go to au.accurri.com as normal in the new incognito window and log in.
